Moving into your first apartment is definitely one of the most overwhelming things you’ll face in life, I swear haha
I know it’s super exciting, and I can say for myself that when I moved, I don’t know if I was more excited to live on my own or to buy all the home decor and essentials I wanted! 
But before the fun part of buying everything, I can totally understand how overwhelming and confusing it is to even understand WHAT YOU NEED, what to buy, what to pass on, and more!
That’s why I put together this first apartment checklist post, with all of the must-have first apartment essentials you’ll need for every room in your apartment!
I am updating this post after 2 years of living on my own, so I believe in every essential here and can say that these are stuff that I use in my daily life.

I didn’t know how fun decorating a bathroom can be! I love getting cute bathroom accessories and making the space welcoming and nice.
LIVING ROOM FIRST APARTMENT CHECKLIST
The living room is the first area I started decorating when moving into my new place! Make sure you get a comfy couch, and make your space cozy and fun to hang out at!
BEDROOM FIRST APARTMENT CHECKLIST
Fun fact, I am almost two years in living in my first apartment, and although I did decorate my bedroom, I didn’t do too much and that’s a total bummer!
We didn’t know for how long we’ll stay and we kind of put it off, and then this year we decided we are going to move by the end of our lease, so I never got to decorate that bedroom exactly how I wanted to.
I can definitely say that not decorating my room as I planned made me less like my bedroom, so don’t forget to decorate your bedroom as cute as possible and make it your own space!
